Description

Phenolic Laminate Sheet (General Purpose)

Phenolic laminate sheet — widely known as bakelite board — is produced by impregnating paper or cloth with phenolic resin and hot-pressing it into rigid, machinable sheets. It is one of the most versatile and economical insulation materials in industry.

With dielectric strength ≥10 kV/mm, good flexural strength and Class E heat resistance, phenolic laminate is used for insulating gears, washers, bushings, terminal boards and a wide variety of mechanical and electrical parts. It machines cleanly and offers good wear resistance.

We supply phenolic laminate from 0.5 mm to 100 mm thick as sheets, rods or CNC-machined parts, with factory-direct export to the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is phenolic laminate / bakelite board?

It is an insulation board made from paper or cloth impregnated with phenolic resin, valued for its machinability, strength and economy.

What is phenolic laminate used for?

It is used for insulating gears, washers, bushings, terminal boards, switch parts and general mechanical and electrical components.

What is the difference between paper and cloth phenolic?

Paper-based phenolic (e.g. 3021) is more economical and easy to punch, while cloth-based phenolic (e.g. 3025B) is tougher and better for machined parts.

What thicknesses are available?

We supply phenolic laminate from 0.5 mm to 100 mm thick in sheets, rods and CNC-cut parts.

Do you export phenolic laminate?

We export worldwide including the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe, with free samples available.
