Description

3240 Epoxy Phenolic Glass Cloth Laminate

3240 epoxy phenolic glass cloth laminate is produced by impregnating woven E-glass cloth with epoxy phenolic resin and hot-pressing it into rigid, high-strength boards. It has been a trusted insulation material in transformers and electrical machinery for decades thanks to its balanced electrical, mechanical and thermal properties.

With dielectric strength of at least 14 kV/mm, flexural strength ≥340 MPa and Class B/F heat resistance, 3240 performs reliably under combined electrical and mechanical stress. Low water absorption keeps its insulation stable in humid conditions.

We supply 3240 from 0.5 mm to 50 mm thick as full sheets, cut blanks or CNC-machined parts, with factory-direct pricing and reliable export to the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 3240 laminate used for?

3240 epoxy phenolic glass laminate is widely used for transformer insulation, switchgear parts, motor insulation, terminal boards and insulating washers.

What is the temperature rating of 3240?

3240 offers Class B to Class F heat resistance, suitable for continuous service around 130–155 °C depending on grade.

How does 3240 compare to FR-4?

Both are epoxy glass laminates. FR-4 adds UL94 V-0 flame retardancy, while 3240 is a classic epoxy phenolic grade optimised for transformer and machinery insulation.

What thicknesses are available?

We supply 3240 from 0.5 mm to 50 mm thick in standard and custom sheet sizes, plus CNC-cut parts.

Do you provide samples and export?

Yes, we offer free samples and export 3240 worldwide including the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe with full documentation.
