Key Advantages

Why Choose Our EP Rod

💪

Very High Tensile Strength

Pultruded fibres give tensile strength ≥800 MPa — stronger than steel by weight.

⚖️

Light Weight

About a quarter the weight of steel for the same strength.

Excellent Insulation

High dielectric strength for high-voltage insulation rods and bushings.

🌧️

Corrosion Resistant

Immune to rust and resistant to most chemicals and moisture.

Description

Epoxy Pultruded Fiberglass Rod

Epoxy pultruded fiberglass rod is manufactured by pulling continuous glass fibres impregnated with epoxy resin through a heated die — a process called pultrusion — producing a rod with exceptionally high longitudinal strength.

With tensile strength of at least 800 MPa at roughly a quarter the weight of steel, plus high dielectric strength and corrosion resistance, epoxy pultruded rod is widely used as high-voltage insulator cores, standoff insulators and structural tension members. Class F heat resistance and very low water absorption ensure stable performance.

We supply epoxy pultruded rod in diameters from 2 mm to 100 mm, cut to length, with factory-direct export to the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is epoxy pultruded rod used for?

It is used as high-voltage insulator cores, standoff insulators, structural tension members and bushing cores.

How strong is pultruded fiberglass rod?

It offers tensile strength of at least 800 MPa — stronger than steel by weight — while being far lighter.

What diameters are available?

We supply epoxy pultruded rod in diameters from 2 mm to 100 mm, cut to your required length.

Is it corrosion resistant?

Yes, fiberglass rod is immune to rust and resistant to most chemicals and moisture, unlike metal rods.

Do you export epoxy rod worldwide?

We export to the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and globally, with free samples and full documentation.
